Our client was accused of driving negligently and leaving the scene of an accident. Investigation by police reveals multiple potential drivers of the car. Police utilized public database images to have a witness try to identify the driver. No interviews of the multiple potential participants were conducted before charging our client with two criminal misdemeanor offenses for Negligent Operation and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage. The Government was not able to pursue the charges further as the identity of the driver could not be proven. Both charges were dismissed by the Court before trial.
