Police respond to scene of single car crash. Both driver and passenger are found inside vehicle suffering from injuries, but it is unclear who was driving with positions after crash. Police and fire/EMS eventually remove both from vehicle but client refuses field tests, or medical treatment, despite apparent lacerations. Scene remains chaotic and investigation stalls with client’s uncooperative, erratic behavior and conflicting statements and injuries, all captured on body cameras. Defense contends behavior consistent with head injury rather than impairment. DUI charge dismissed prior to trial.
